Hair and Makeup at the Versace Fall 2014 Show

The Versace Fall 2014 was on February 21, 2014 and not only featured beautiful clothes but hair and makeup as well.

Pat McGrath who did the models makeup said "Donatella simply wanted glamorous, but more of a clean glamour". An what clean glamour ment was a taupe shadow in the contours of the eyes for emphasis and double the eyelashes. The eyebrows where softly groomed and the lips where in a tan gloss. An this is how Donaetlla does simple makeup.

Guido Palau who did the models hair went back to the sixties. Hair extensions where added for thickness while creating extra volume at the crown with a rattail comb. The rest of the hair was kept completley straight by using a combination of Redken Pillow Proof Two Day Extender and  Redken Guts volumizing spray  while using a straightener. The hair was then finished off with Forceful 23 hair spray.

Keira Knightly's Loose Curls' at the "Laggies" Premiere at the 2014 Sun Dance Film Festival

Usually when I think of Keira Knightly's hair I think of it pinned back in a tight bun, but at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival she wore her hair in loose curls.

Keira and her hair stylist Kerrie Urban  wanted her hair to match the atmosphere of the event and her outfit.

Now, if you love her curls as much as I do, here are the steps Urban toke to make them. According to Urban to get this hair it starts at the roots.

Start with styling cream at the base of the hair, then add a lightweight spray to the rest of the hair to create the softness in the curls.

When combing through your hair use your fingers instead of a hair brush as you blowdry your hair.

Afterwards use a curling iron that's about about 1 to 1.5 inches thick, and curl diffrent sections of your hair in diffrent directions, some towards your face and some away.

To finish it off seperate the curls with your fingers and lightly shake them, then put a few drops of smoothing serum in your palm to smooth out any flyways.

       Kate Upton's Slicked-Back Bun

at the 'The Other Woman' LA Premiere

April.22.2014

Kate Upton attened the premiere for her movie 'The Other Woman' in LA on April 21, 2014. The models famous body was decked out in a Dolce & Gabbana mini dress, her hair also got the glamour works. Celeb hairstylist Peter Butler is behind Kate's sleek bun and here are the steps to follow so you too can rock this look.

Starting with just out of the shower hair, Peter applied three dollops of Leonor Greyl’s Mousse au Lotus Volumatrice onto the hair. One on the crown, another at the split between the sides, and on the back of her head. He then with his fingers ran the product through her roots all the way down to her ends.

To apply volume he took a paddle brush and a blow dryer. As he was drying her hair he sprayed Leonor Greyl’s Spray Structure Naturelle into varies sections of the hair.

Afterwards he added Eclat Naturel to create the 'wet' look before curing her hair in small sections with a large-barrel curling iron.

Now to create the bun. Butler used his fingers and combed Kate's hair back and put it into a ponytail. For this he used elastic band with hooks to “keep the ponytail in place so the hair doesn’t slide and get loose afterwards”. Then he wrapped the ponytail around the base of the hair, then used hairpins to pin it in place.

For the finishing touchs he sprayed Leonor Greyl’s Lacque Souple to keep the hair in place and looking great all night.

Sonam Kapoor portrayed two decades that I love at the Premiere of 'The Horseman' at the Cannes Film Festival. 60's flapper hair and 50's glmaour girl makeup and dress. The beauty ball gown was of course and Elie Saab Couture creation and the hair and makeup lived up to the glamour. An in just five simple steps you can get this hair too.

First section the crown of your hair into a triangle shape with a defined side part. Then wrap that hair around a small-barrelled curling iron, holding it a forward angle and securing each curl with a pin.

Second step is to loosly curl the rest of the hair, no pins needed.

Now remove the pins from the top of your hair and brush out the curls in a S-Wave flow.

Hint: If you have long hair, gather the strands into a low ponytial and twist into a faux bob.

For the finishing touchs hairspray it done to keep it in place and add a hair pin if so desired.
