Giambattista Valli's Couture Spring 2014 collection was showcased on Monday January 20, 2014.
Now this is how you do spring. Between the beautiful embroidery, the colors, the material and the way it all flowed, I was in love. What I also love is the mix of both pastel colors and jewel tone colors not only seen in this Couture collection but in others. And of course the staple of black and white.
This collection in my mind re-definded the mini dress, and showed a lot of leg or as Valli calles it "spontaneous attitude.". And what was Valli's insperation? "They're bad characters. They've got morning-after hair, and they've thrown on their haute couture to run around in the next day."
Now tell me, when you wake up in the morning and rush out the door to go to work, wouldn't you love to throw on one of these creations? I would, in a heart beat.

Donatella showcased her Atelier Versace Spring 2014 clothing on Sunday January 19, 2014.
The stapel: hoods. The insperation: Grace Jones.
My favorite kind of Versace shows are Atelier Versace, and how can it not be? You fall in love with each creation as it walks down the runway, and image yourself in it. These six designs are my favorites from the collection.

Alexandre Vauthier showcased his Couture line Tuesday January 21, 2014.
Alexandre Vauthier is about all things sexy, and this collection continued to prove it. Suprizeingly enough the runway was supposed to be beach inspired not night club inspired. The clutch connected to the heel, like a surf board, was the most stand-out of the insperation that I could find. My favorite piece of the line though, the sexy blue gown.

Ah, Elie Saab. What beautiful creations you make. The collection was just as expected, magnifecent. It had embellishments, lace, chiffon, silk and so on. The collection started with a pastel pink, moved on to bolder more radient colors, then to black. But, to top it all off ended in a gorgoues ball gown with a veil, making every women with a wedding coming up wanting this as thier wedding gown. Saab was inpired by the 19th century, and the paintings of Dutch artist Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema.

Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli the desingers for Valentino showcased thier Valentino Coututre Spring 2014 collection on Wensday January 22, 2014.
This Couture collection was inspired by the opera, and along with the opera the people of it. The first gown to come down the runway had music notes which was inspired by Giuseppe Verdi's score. There was also nods to Puccini's La Bohème and Bizet's Carmen. And along with the lace, beads and chiffon there was animals. Not as prints but woven into the materials, animals such as a swan, snake, lions, gorillas, peacock and elephants.
With the opera in mind, how can these gowns not be found as regal.

Zuhair Murad Couture Spring 2014 walked down the runway Thursday January 23, 2014.
From The Opener to The Closer I was in heaven. If I had put every one of the 47 looks up I would had been here all day. He had everything in this collection that I love. Lace, sparkle, gold, jumpsuits, dresses, color and so on. The ballgown that finished off the show had around 25,000 floral appliqués, and was the only one in the collection without the gold leaf belt. From the outfits to the heels I would wear every piece. This collection was as Murad said his "Parisian ideal".
