Zuhair Murad's muse for Fall 2014? Butterflies and drangonflies.
What better insect muses to be inspired by. Murad really focused on the texture of thiese insects for most of his designs. While the others had cut outs of the these beautiful inpserations.The collection featured a lot of black and white pieces which have been very big this fashion season. But along the way came out busts of colors with bright pinks and blues and deep burgandy. With plenty of shine and jeweles to feed your sweet tooth. Sheer and textured cutout dresses, fitted jackets and an amazing jumpsuit made for a beatiful collection.

While Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli of Valentino where inspired by the Italian Opera for thier Couture collection. For Fall 2014 they toke thier style cues from Italian pop-art from the sixties and seventies.
Very much shown through thier mod pieces that opened the show. Female painters such as Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli were thier inspiration. As the desingers put it "They were rule breakers," "Nobody believed that women could be artists." The collection then beacame less art pop and more sixties with cute mini dresses featuring peter pan collars. The collection went on to feature what Valentino is known for beautiful prints and lace. All in the form of dresses, coats, capes and of course the number of beautiful gowns closing out the show.
Thier butterflys feautred in thier Pre-Fall collection still went strong. While the last gown to close out the show featured a huge red heart, bringing the art pop vesion right back around.
Elie Saab

With coming of a huge night of celebarties wearing his desingns at the Oscars and the after parties, Elie Saab hit the runway with his Fall 2014 desings.
Saab showed us exacatly why his pieces get wore to big events by opening the show with a beautiful burgany capewith fur around the collar and matching top and pants. Burgandy was just one of the deep rich colors that he used along with green and of course black. He even showcased a pale rose pink and for the first time he did an ombre effect. Saab was inpsired by the paintings of Mark Rothko which was featured promplty in his print for this collection. With a deep black background, the print was a floral that looked to had been beautifully painted on to the fabric.

Giambattista Valli

With so many desingers bringing menswear into thier desings Giambattista Valli said "I wanted to design for a woman who was confident to dress in women's clothes,". And nothing says being a women then wearing a short dress and showing off your pins. Which for Gimabattista it was all about the legs. So in came two diffrent styles, a fitted top, nipped in waist and a flared skirt on one hand and a extremly volumized piece of clothing on the other. The collection featured printed black and white pieces and lots and lots of lace. The color hues ranged from a pale beautiful pink to a fiery red.
The collection was to me showing the love of being a women with the romantic lace, prints and of course the Valentine colors.

Raf Simons Christian Dior Fall 2014 Dior is bursting with color. Simons knows how to capture a womens figure with the cuts and flows of his desings. From structued suits in beautiful colors like burgandy and green, to long simple dresses that flowed as the models walking. Handbags, heels and coats stood out in bold colors. Coats and scarfs so bold and beautiful they alone could make your outfits.
Raf hit it out of the fashion ball park once again and showed why he has been so loved and obessed about ever sience he took over desings at Dior.
